What I do.

When i get an idea in my head about a song, i cant do anything until that idea is written down.  I imagine this would be the same for dancers who choreograph their own music or authors who get an idea for a new book.  Music runs through me.
I tend to write my lyrics first and then make the music which most people find strange.  Most people have to listen to a piece of music first and then the lyrics come to them but i dont do it like that.
Once I have my lyrics i then know the feel of the song and how i want the music to sound so then i make my music.  Once i have the music exactly how i want it to sound i then go over my lyrics again with the music and make sure it all flows nicely.  If it does then i can start to record it but if it doesnt then i re-write some of the lyrics until it all works.
When i record sometimes it can take an hour, sometimes it can take a day and sometimes even longer than that.  Once the recording is done i then edit bits of the music to make it sound better or put echoes in on certain bits. This is generally what takes the time.
I love making music and writing my own songs.  I can safely say that when i do it, i do everything from writing the lyrics to making the music to editing it and then promoting it too.  I would love to do this as a job one day but most of all be able to do it with people that have the same interests.
Going right back to why i started making music and helping people that are in the same situation as i was.

I hope from reading my blogs, you can see how much music means to me and how much i stand for my idea and want to make it work.  If you do see this, please share for me and help me promote #DrobeStudio just by writing '#DrobeStudio'  I would really appreciate the help.

Thank you so much.

Keep looking for a new song coming soon......

Ben - CEO, DrobeStudio.
